Johnny Cash Trail Supporters Rush to Claim Remaining Donor Wall Spots

6/17/2021 | By Johnny Cash Trail| Art Trail

As you bike down Johnny Cash Bridge in Folsom, CA, you'll be greeted by the site of a large steel wall gracing the side of the trail. This is the Johnny Cash Trail's Donor Wall, a place to honor the individuals and organizations powering the trail and making this endeavor possible.

When the Donor Wall was constructed by Johnny Cash Trail artist Adan Romo in 2017, supporters of this incredible project filled the wall with plaques featuring the names of their families, businesses, and tributes to lost loved ones.

Now that fabrication has begun on the first piece of art to be permanently installed along the trail, fans of the Man in Black are racing to fill the remaining spots and get their name added to the wall before this project is officially completed.

Learn how you can contribute to the legacy of the Johnny Cash Trail and add your name to the Donor Wall while there are still a few remaining spots left to fill.

About the Johnny Cash Trail's Donor Wall

The Johnny Cash Trail's Donor Wall is a monumental piece, made up of 5 panels ranging from 3 feet to 7 feet tall. Each panel is fabricated from durable, beautiful Corten Steel, an elegant weathered steel that develops a rusted look over time.

This work of art can accommodate up to 300 names, front, and back. Each name represents a generous donor, with their chosen text displayed on a high-quality steel plate.

The Donor Wall was fabricated by Adan Romo of Romo Studios LLC, and is located on a hill along the Johnny Cash Trail, at the corner of Folsom Lake Crossing and East Natoma Street, overlooking the future site of the Johnny Cash Legacy Park.

Create a Legacy That's Set in Steel

Adding your name to the Donor Wall is a truly unique experience, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave your name on a work of art and create a lasting legacy within the Folsom community. For the individuals and organizations who donate, this generous contribution creates a mark that will last for decades to come and will be seen by all who visit the trail.

Your name will join a group of impactful plaques already displayed on the wall. Previous donors describe the meaning behind their plaques on the Donor Wall:

"The plaque is a way to honor my husband, who passed away on March 1st, 2015.” - Janet H., Donor.

"We're here to donate a plaque to the Johnny Cash Art Trail. We did this using the money we collectively earned as a club over the years." - Abhay T., Student"

Your plaque can become a way to honor a loved one or mark your organization as an integral part of our community. Whatever your reasons for contributing, joining the wall is a meaningful way to make a lasting contribution to our community and the legacy of the Man in Black.
